Hackney Harvest (2015)
Funded by Hackney Council

Hackney Harvest was a street feast that took place in East London. Considering the event infrastructure was as important as the event itself, I organised workshops (led by design collective RARA) to build the long tables and benches for the feast. The workshop took place in a public space next to where the feast would take place, thus proposing that public spaces can be both productive and educational spaces. The wood used to make the tables and benches was recycled from a previous public art project.

The workshop took place over one day, followed by the feast on another day. The tables and benches were then distributed to local organisations, and community gardens for free.
